The Desert Here and the Desert Far Away (In progress 2024)
We are currently finishing up a new video triptych: 'The Desert Here and the Desert Far Away', which will be finished around October of this year. In this triptych, three scenes take place in very different kinds of landscapes, that are connected by the appearance of a mysterious object. This object changes the character that finds it and consequently sets off various events within these scenes. It is a story in three parts that plays with the concepts of time and space, and addresses the relation between mankind and nature, technology, and each other. The premiere of this new installation will be hosted by the GAFA Art Museum on October 17th 2024 in Guangzhou, P.R. of China, during the exhibition The Scene Changes by Paul Segers / UDC. ONLINE INTERNATIONAL PREMIERE On November 16, 2024 at 21:00 Hrs. CET and 15:00 Hrs. EDT, we will host an online international premiere on a platform we will disclose early November on this page and via our socials.
