UDC-Productions (Unlimited Dream Company)
is a company working with film, sculpture, installation, performance and drawing. Unlimited Dream Company is a company run by visual artist Paul Segers (MFA), established in 2000. Paul Segers graduated at the sculpture department of the Academy of Fine Art & Design in ‘s- Hertogenbosch in 2000, and earned his MFA at the Dutch Art Institute in 2005. UDC is concerned with the human condition in a highly technological age, and our relation to each other, to technology and to our environments. UDC uses visual metaphors to create other perspectives on these intertwining relations. We often work with narrative structures or scenes. Landscapes or objects often function as the protagonists in these narratives. Creation and destruction are recurring powers that shape our world. UDC wants to create a new viable human condition. We believe in the power of the image to shape our thoughts and actions. Besides running UDC-Productions & UDC-Publishing, Segers is also teaching at the Art & Research department of St. Joost School of Art & Design in 's-Hertogenbosch and Breda. He is a frequent advisor or mentor in various committees and programs. Segers also writes texts for publications and occasionally organizes and curates exhibitions or projects.
