We experience everything in real-time through our instant information networks which effectively blur all events into an intense infocalypse. The grand narratives are lost in the noise. Events and happenings shape our views, our reality and our choices.
UDC is concerned with the human condition in a highly technological age, and our relation to each other, to technology, to nature and to our environments. The work that we create approaches the world from a slightly different angle. Close enough to reality to be recognizable, but just a bit off. UDC works with extreme visual metaphors to be able to see things from another perspective. We work with narrative structures, or scenes. Landscapes or objects are often the protagonists in these narratives. Creation and destruction are recurring powers that shape the world, and UDC wants to create a new viable condition. We believe in the power of the image to shape our thoughts. |
